Longines TimeFlys Aviation Watch

TimeFlys aviation

Aviation fueled the world’s TimeFlys aviation imagination, inspiring adventurers to reach for the stars. And as technology evolved, so did the airplane itself. This year, Longines pays tribute to the legendary instrument by launching an updated version of its Pilot collection, including the HM-1 “Time Flies.” Inspired by the 1936 Hawks Miller HM-1 racer designed by pilot Frank Hawks and Howell W. “Pete” Miller, chief engineer of the Granville Brothers. The aircraft, whose name means “Time Flies,” was a pioneer in streamlined design. Check out this Universal Newsreel footage of the HM-1 at East Hartford, CT in taxiing and flying mode.

Inside TimeFlys Aviation: Innovation in Private Jet Travel

The new HM-1 model is a modern take on the original, featuring a redesigned case and chronograph movement with a beige ceramic dial. The piece also features a second rotating bezel for pilots and navigators to align with radio time signals and the earth’s rotation. The HM-1 is available now for $4,900 from Longines boutiques and select authorized dealers.
